The Compassionate Friends.
Worldwide Candle Lighting.
Hollywood - CA
Imagine walking into a support group and hearing the words, "We're sorry to see the new people....but we are glad you found us because we
think we can help." The Compassionate Friends is that support group and their mission is to assist families toward the positive resolution of grief
following the death of a child of any age and to provide information to help others be supportive.
The Compassionate Friends, like so many other caring, support groups, would rather they didn't need to exist. However, bravely facing their own pain, suffering,
and grief, the collective members come together to be there for those who now find themselves in the difficult position of being in need of assistance.
Death is never an easy topic; nor, does it give much by way of pleasant experiences to those left behind. The Compassionate Friends understand this and they
actively provide friendship, understanding, and hope to those going through the natural grieving process.
Upon learning of their annual Worldwide Candle Lighting, the "IN" show had the honor of interviewing The Compassionate Friends Los Angeles Chapter's
Sonia Berman. She took the time to explain how The Compassionate Friends organization was started, their mission and purpose in helping others suffering through the tragedy of losing
a child, and ways to obtain more information on everything The Compassionate Friends organization does and offers.
As you listen, send some light and love out there to all those families who need it; and, be sure to show your support for the good work done by The Compassionate Friends.
And if you or someone you know needs their help, please contact them...and...we're sorry.
