Los Angeles Song Writers' Group.
A group created by a singer/songwriter/lyricist for singers/songwriters/lyricists.
Hollywood, CA -
Having been in L.A. for twenty years, Troy Morris has slowly witnessed the state of the music industry deteriorate into a dangerously dry period.
Music today is missing a fundamental key: collaboration. He has experienced, first-hand, the power of the creative process; and now, has had to
witness the decline of the music produced by the music industry.
While listening to a lecture given by Kashif of B.T.Express, Troy Morris was inspired!
He had an epiphany!
Now was the time to ignite a renaissance within the L.A. music industry; and, it would begin with the Los Angeles Song Writers' Group.
With the endeavor of creating an open form for persons of all creatives to get together, the group is not to be limited to songwriters alone.
Sound engineers, singers, composers, creatives of all kinds will find a home in the LASWG.
Listen "IN" as Troy Morris talks about how collaboration has met its near demise and why there is a great need for creatives
to get together to share ideas and talents. As he works with a fine support group to get LASWG started, the mission is clear,
"To take the opportunity to affect a change by encouraging creatives to get back together and collaborate and rediscover the art of making not just good, but great music."
Remember to do what the "IN" show tells you and spread the love! So be sure to find out more about LASWG by visiting them online at LASWG.org and on FaceBook here. The Muse of Music will thank you!
