Beverly Hills Film Festival 2013
screenings held at the TCL Chinese 6 Theatres.
Beverly Hills, CA -
The 13th Annual International Beverly Hills Film Festival (BHFF), held May 8th through May 12th, was truly in top form!
With screenings hosted at the TCL Chinese 6 Theatres, nightly after-parties held at the majestic
Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel and the Awards Gala taking place at the Four Seasons Los Angeles at Beverly Hills, it was easy to see why this Film Festival is known for its
dedication to showcasing and promoting high-quality films, emerging filmmakers and talented scriptwriters to the Entertainment Industry.
Having only recently being founded in 2001 by award-winning, independent, filmmaker Nino Simone, the BHFF is already being expanded into the international market! The new Beverly Hills Film Festival
Japan CEO, Hiroki Ohwada from Tokyo, was in attendance as were other international producers, directors, and filmmakers.
The Annual Beverly Hills Film Festival has shown itself to be a gem of the Film Festival Circuit. This year alone, there were no less than 50 Competition Films and well over 100 Screenplay Competition entries!
The Competition Films varied in both scope and depth. From documentaries dealing with the ravages of terrorism (i.e. "Gawah") and war (i.e. "The Will of Victory (A Doc Opera),"
to dramatic shorts - such as "Illusion" and "No Love Song." Other genres represented were animation, comedies, and a few striking full features (i.e. including "Yellow Kid" and the World Premiere of the feature film "Past God.")
The "IN" Show had the opportunity to cover the BHFF and were keenly impressed by a few things. First, The Annual International Beverly Hills Film Festival is an absolute treat for both the movie buff and the non-studio, film aficianado.
Second, the BHFF was extremely encouraging to each of its Competition Finalists! We overheard words of encouragement, raves over the ample opportunities for Finalists to meet Entertainment Industry movers and shakers, and the strong sense of comraderie as presented by the BHFF team.
Last, and by no means least, attending the Beverly Hills Film Festival is a must for anyone serious about learning more or advancing upwards in the Entertainment Industry. The BHFF is a high quality Film Festival that still affords a personal, one-on-one connection with individuals who know the craft and
we highly recommend it. For more information, the Annual International Beverly Hills Film Festival can be found online here. You can also like them on facebook here and follow them on
