WE THE ECONOMY
20 Short Films.
Beverly Hills, CA -
Who knew you could use cavemen, alpacas, wrestlers and even a guy in a hat to delve into the colossal beast know as the U.S.
Economy?!
Morgan Spurlock (with his brilliant jump into the foray with his short, Caveman) has joined forces with 19 other
world-renowned filmmakers to create an assortment of short films that inform, enlighten and engage the audience by getting them to
take a better look at one of the biggest driving forces of government: the Economy.

SYNOPSIS:
Paul G. Allen's Vulcan Productions and Morgan Spurlock's Cinelan have partnered with award-winning directors (including
Adrian Grenier, Catherine Hardwicke, James Schamus, Adam McKay and Joe Berlinger) to produce 20 short films to drive
awareness and a better understanding of the U.S. economy. This short film series, which features animation, comedy,
nonfiction and scripted films, seeks to demystify the U.S. economy for audiences while empowering individuals of the next
generation to take control of the planet's economic future. All 20 films will launch simultaneously on the same date in
October across multiple platforms (online, VOD, broadcast, mobile, theatrical, etc.).
Top economic experts including distinguished professors, policy analysts, journalists and historians helped identify 20 key
topics about the U.S. economy that every citizen will benefit from understanding. The directors then worked closely with
select advisors who provided editorial guidance for these five to eight-minute films, which have been organized into five
chapters: What is the Economy? What is Money? What is the Role of our Government in the Economy? What is Globalization?
Allen's and Spurlock's WE THE ECONOMY is a much needed
collection of films that not only create a vibrant discourse but also sheds light on aspects of the US Economy that aren't
normally seen, let alone understood.
Each film stands perfectly on its own, giving the right amount of food-for-thought whilst leaving you wanting more. When
combined with the other 19 short films in the film series, WE THE ECONOMY collectively affords a powerhouse
of information, thoughtful reflection, and - one hopes - a desire to effect positive change in this land of the free and
home of the brave.
